Halyna Bilavych started her scientific activity in 1994 as a senior researcher at the Scientific and Methodological Center “Ukrainian Ethnopedagogy and Ethnology” of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine and Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. She has been teaching since 2000.

During recent years, she has been a professor of the Department of Primary Education Pedagogy.

Completed two international internships (360 hours, 12 credits):
Higher Linguistic School in Częstochowa (Republic of Poland, 2018). Certificate No. KRK 18/204. Topic “Innovative teaching methods and technologies: education” (180 hours, 6 credits), Catholic University in Ružomberok. Faculty of Theology (Slovakia, 2021). Certificate No. 36/2021/KS-R. Topic “Development of educational systems under the conditions of modern challenges and transformations” (180 hours, 6 credits).

The following courses are taught for students of the Faculty of Pedagogy by Halyna Bilavych: “Basics of Rhetoric”, “Professional Ukrainian Language” “Modern Ukrainian Literary Language”, “Ukrainian Scientific Speech”, “Expressive Reading in Primary School”, etc. Researches the problems of ecology of the modern Ukrainian literary language.

The professor helds open classes and realizes educational activities involving more than a hundred students (“From childhood to Taras”, “Resurrected Christ – resurrected Ukraine”, “And we will raise that red guelder rose”, “From the Kruty Heroes to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred” etc).

Halyna Bilavych publishes literary and artistic almanacs (“For Ukraine, for Her Freedom!”, was published in 2014 and was dedicated to the modern heroic struggle of Ukrainians for their independence and sovereignty. Оrganized creative student contests at the Pedagogical Institute: “Vivat, the University!”, “Teacher, with your name …”, “Love your Ukraine!”, “Joy with grief embraced”, “Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred”, “For Ukraine, for her freedom …”, “And we will raise that red guelder rose”, aimed at developing students’ literary abilities, forming patriotism, civic position, national consciousness among them.

She manages the scientific group “Stylistics of the Scientific Text”, that employs about 20 students who attend scientific conferences at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, participate in international scientific conferences and publish their papers in domestic and international magazines.

The professor works on the problem of forming the linguistic personality of the future teacher, publishes the wallpaper called “Let’s speak Ukrainian right!”. Together with the group members, she prepared dictionaries “Let’s speak Ukrainian right!”, “Let’s emphasize right!”, “Dialectic wealth of the Carpathian region”.
In recent years, under her supervision there were five prize-winners of the All-Ukrainian Student Research Contest, including Ukrainian language and literature and teaching methods (O. Loik, T. Stambulska, T. Lysechko), who took third place in a contest at Kamianets-Podіlskyi National Ivan Ohiienko University, and the educational pedagogical sciences (higher school education) (N. Shevchuk, T. Danylyuk), who took first place in Drohobych Ivan Franko State Pedagogical University. Involved students in researching the problems of the Ukrainian language ecology.

She supervised three Candidates of Pedagogical Sciences (L. Slyvka, M. Popyuk, M. Prots), two doctors of pedagogical sciences (M. Bagrii, I. Rozman).

Provides scientific guidance to the graduate student and gives scientific advice to three doctoral students.

During 2009-2022, she was a member of two specialized scientific councils for the defense of doctoral and PhD theses (specialty: general pedagogy and history of pedagogy) at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University and Ivan Franko Drohobych Pedagogical University, 10 one-time specialized dissertation defense councils, was an opponent of more than 20 dissertation works.

Currently she is a member of two specialized scientific councils for the defense of doctoral and PhD theses.

She is the over 20 publications indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.
In recent years, 10 individual and collective monographs, more than 30 educational and methodological manuals on Ukrainian language, rhetoric, Ukrainian language (by professional direction), teaching methods, have been published.

Editor-in-chief of the journal “Mountain School of the Ukrainian Carpathians”, member of the editorial board of the magazine “Youth and the Market” (Drohobych), “Medical Education” (Ternopil), have been published international (foreign) periodical scientific journal “SWorldJournal”.

Since 2016 she has been the Director of the Scientific and Methodical Center “Gifted Child University”, which operates at the Science Park of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
